After 9/11, many Americans thought that our country or foreign policy was in some way to blame. But radical Islam teaches it is one's duty to destroy Western culture simply because it goes against what they believe. Of course, there are many moderate, peaceful Muslims who are not included in this category. Several fundamental American principles go against the Islamic religion: individual rights and choices, freedom of speech and religious liberty, as well as gender equality. As to where these radical Muslim teachers are getting their ideas (about being radical) and if they actually believe what they say about the west...that's what I'm trying to find out.
